MAZDA RADAR CRUISE CONTROL WITH CLOSE PROXIMITY WARNING *

At highway speeds above 19mph, Mazda Radar Cruise Control judges the relative speed and distance to the car ahead, working within a set speed range to help maintain a safe following distance, making highway drives less strenuous. The system’s Close Proximity Warning provides audible and visual warnings when it senses your vehicle fast approaching another ahead.

SMART CITY BRAKE SUPPORT

Smart City Brake Support* helps minimize or possibly prevent frontal collisions when driving between about 2 and 18 mph by automatically applying the brakes if it determines that a collision with an obstruction ahead is unavoidable.

ADVANCED BLIND SPOT MONITORING

Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring* uses radar sensors to detect objects in your left or right blind spots and then alerts you with a warning light that appears in the corresponding side mirror. If you signal a lane change while an object is there, the light blinks and a cabin warning chime sounds. On the CX-9, the system is even advanced enough to alert you before a fast-approaching vehicle enters your blind spot.

REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT

Rear Cross Traffic Alert* alerts you if a vehicle approaches from the side when you’re backing out of a parking space or driveway.

LANE DEPARTURE WARNING SYSTEM

Lane Departure Warning System* alerts you when the system senses your vehicle drifting unintentionally from its current lane at speeds of 37 mph or higher.

LANE KEEP ASSIST

This available advanced safety system adds to the audible and visual warnings of the Lane Departure Warning system, with an extra level of guidance. When it senses a potential unintentional lane departure, Lane Keep Assist* will perform minor steering corrections to help guide your CX-9 back to the center of the lane.

ADAPTIVE FRONT-LIGHTING SYSTEM

The Adaptive Front-lighting System* turns the headlight beams to improve visibility around corners.

HIGH BEAM CONTROL

High Beam Control* automatically switches from high to low beams when it detects oncoming traffic or a vehicle ahead, and then back again when it’s clear.

DISTANCE RECOGNITION SUPPORT SYSTEM

At speeds above 19 mph, Distance Recognition Support System* uses radar technology to measure the distance between you and the vehicle ahead, and recommends a comfortable following distance. If your vehicle encroaches on this recommended distance, a visual warning shows in the information display.
